The design for this 18,000 sq.ft. international headquarters is within the renovated warehouse of the Metro Center (also by FortyEighty) in the Manchester neighborhood of Pittsburgh. InterTECH Security is a commercial security company that designs and provides security to universities, cultural and sports facilities throughout the United States. InterTECH is headquartered in Pittsburgh and its relocation offered the opportunity for the management group to re-structure and optimize their workflow and delivery process.

The offices and support spaces occupy three floors of the renovated timber warehouse space. InterTECH’s program included executive offices and board room, engineering studios, computer developer workspace, team / project rooms, and loading / warehouse and distribution center. Private offices, team rooms, and small team / project rooms are modular and can quickly switch use depending on staff needs. Expansion spaces for projected company growth are planned into the all three floors to accommodate growth within all departments. This space is currently under construction with anticipated completion in the fall of 2009.
