The library takes advantage of its high volume space through the installation of an artificial tree located at the center of the storytelling area. The seating around and under the tree is an undulating carpeted platform that transitions up directly from the floor surface. Together, the tree and suspended light fixtures throughout the room create a canopy-like effect within the room. The library areas are configured to allow for visual access across the entire space to allow for observation of students by librarians and faculty. All mechanical and electrical systems within the space were upgraded.
