This new cancer treatment center was designed to be the state of the art facility in the San Antonio area. Housed within the facility are two linear accelerator vaults with entry mazes, HDR vault, isotope implant procedure room, simulator, CT/PET scanner, X-ray equipment rooms, physicians' offices, and other required support spaces. Designed with efficient patient flow in mind, the center has three check-in areas.

The building design features a stone-clad exterior finish, with energy-efficient glazing and roofing systems to reduce glare and heat loads. Due to the expansive nature of local soils, the entire structure is built on a concrete waffle slab with a crawl space below.
